Parliamentary Speeches

It's my job to represent the people of my electorate and that means being the voice of my constituents in State Parliament.

I like to use my time in Parliament to highlight the great work being done in our community by schools, organisations and individuals who genuinely try to make a positive difference to many people's lives.

I also share my thoughts on various pieces of legislation - always with these burning questions in mind: "How will this affect my constituents?" "Does this legislation make life better for people in my electorate?" and "Is this good policy that doesn't unfairly affect local residents?"

Below you can read through my Parliamentary speeches. If you have any suggestions on groups, organisations or people who deserve a mention in State Parliament, please don't hesitate to get in touch with my office on 02 9618 2077 or email [email protected]

Guise Public School Community Services Forum

November 12, 2019

Community Recognition Statement

The staff at Guise Public School certainly go above and beyond for their school community.

Recently the school hosted a Community Services Expo designed to put parents, carers and families in touch with local service providers.

The expo was a resounding success with students and adults alike taking advantage of the opportunity to learn more about organisations and services in their local area.

Some of the service providers included the Salvation Army, Youth Off The Streets, One Door Mental Health, Autism Advisory and Support Service, My Gateway, local police , We Are Community and Ability Links.

I want to thank the staff at Guise Public School for organising such a worthwhile event.

Special mention must go to Assistant Principal Karen Davies and the entire organising team for not only recognising a need to connect the school community with service providers, but also for bringing their vision to reality.

The students at Guise Public School are lucky to have such dedicated staff.
